For this activity, participants were first presented with four possible scenarios: 

Scenario 0 – Status Quo

Scenario 1 – New High School

Scenario 2 – New Middle School

Scenario 3 – New Intermediate School

Participants were then requested with respect to those scenarios to “reach consensus at your table on the strengths and weaknesses of each.”

The following is a summary of the most common responses for each of the identified scenarios. Only those that appeared more than twice were listed. Efforts were made to combine similar types of responses.

For this activity, participants were asked to identify any starter scenario that their group deemed to be “dead on arrival” and not worthy of further consideration. The groups that completed the activity were nearly unanimous in their view that Scenario 0 is unacceptable. Below is a breakdown of the responses.
