5th Grade Newsletter

Our grade level newsletter will be updated every two weeks to support communication between school and home.
Conferences
**It is highly recommended that families use the Web Version of ParentVue and not the App version due to some glitches on the app.**
Parent-Teacher Conferences will be on March 7th & 12th from 4:00 pm - 8:15 pm. Conferences are 15 minutes per student. All conferences will be in-person. If you are in need of a Zoom conference, contact your child's classroom teacher to notify. The teacher may coordinate a different date and time outside of the in-person blocks due to the facilitation of scheduling. If that is your preference, please email teachers directly to coordinate a meeting time.
Upcoming Events
Project Harmony- Online Safety Presentation- MSHS March 7th
No School March 14th, 15th & 18th
March - Expect a letter from middle school in the mail with math placement recommendation and course request worksheet
April - Return class choices from the letter to classroom teacher
April 26 - Middle School staff members visit Wheeler
May 3 - Students visit Beadle in the afternoon (if you are not attending Beadle, you will need to arrange transportation for your child's visit)
Report Cards
Report cards will go home on Friday, March 22nd.

Class Link Log In Instructions
Our technology has had a major change from My Portal to Class Link. This new app will be a landing spot for all student apps. You can watch our teacher librarian, Mrs. Derichs, show you how to access Class Link from home in the video attached.
In Your Backpack
Don't forget to pack these daily needs!
Students should continue to always have a water bottle and snack or two packed in their backpack each day. Water and a nutritious snack fuel the brain and keep students going as they learn and grow!
