read 180

(Full Year) READ180 is a blended learning Tier III reading intervention program that provides reading comprehension activities and assessments to monitor student progress. There are four main components of the READ180 program: whole-group learning, student application, small group learning, and independent reading. Whole-group learning is the daily direct instruction of the class that teaches applicable reading skills. Student application is the online component of READ180; students follow an online learning path that accelerates their learning. Small group learning provides students with the opportunity to receive targeted, data-driven small group reading instruction. In independent reading, students select books on their individual Lexile levels to practice and apply reading skills. Through this systematic, multi-tiered, and research-based instructional program, students will build literacy skills and gain independence in the classroom to develop into proficient readers.
