Tech 6 - Intro to Computer Concepts

(Semester Course) Students will learn basic operations and concepts including keyboarding, Google tools, and management strategies for organizing their electronic world using school and home computer systems.

Tech 7 - Media Research

(Semester Course) This course is designed to teach students how to conduct online research and identify credible online resources suitable for research projects as well as develop media products through exposure to film production techniques. Students will use this course to complete research assignments in their ELA and Social Studies courses. Students create, manipulate, and use print media, audio recordings, video recordings, and ideas effectively to multiple audiences.

Tech 8 - Digital Citizenship

(Semester Course) This course is designed for Middle School Students entering High School who are learning to use the Internet as a social and educational tool. It supplies common sense tips for staying safe while using a wide range of network-based tools. We study law cases and current events that have affected teens in the United States and across the world.

3D Design

(6th and 7th grades - Semester Based)

Combine art, design, and technology in 3D printing. Learn how to build and print 3D models using various online design programs. Start from a sketch and end with holding your print in the palm of your hand!

Advanced 3D Design

Using our advanced 3D printing skills we will focus on areas of design technology and innovation.  This class requires a background in 3D printing and manipulation.  Students in this class will have access to Glenfield’s Maker space Studio.


Film Production

Get up close and camera ready in the Glenfield TV Studio. Learn the behind the camera setup for tv and film productions as well as prepare for on-camera rolls. Students in this class will have access to our green screen and will work on Glenfield TV productions. Students in this class will help film Glenfield events as well as prepare for school announcements. 

Game Creation

Game Programming and Design is an introductory course to video game programming, 2D and 3D design, and video game art. Students will learn the principles and practice of modeling in polygons, applying textures and materials to those models, and rendering them with appropriate lighting.

Digital Photography

This course covers basic concepts and practice of digital photography, including understanding and use of the camera, lenses, and other basic photographic equipment. The course will address aesthetic principles as they relate to composition, space, exposure, light and color.
