PROMOTION OF Japanese CULINARY arts

1. Production of Japanese cookbook and DVDs

MKEN promotes Japanese cooking lessons for people coming from ASEAN countries. Although people usually cook similar Japanese dishes, there are many ways to transform recipes depending on everyone's taste.

When studying Japanese cooking, it is very important to have a solid foundation. By mastering the basics, you can organize Japanese cuisine in a variety of styles to suit the tastes of each country.

MPKEN released a textbook and a set of learning DVDs teaching the basics of Japanese cooking, entitled 「Let's learn Japanese cooking!」

Going forward, by translating into English and the languages of ASEAN countries, we will open opportunities for many people to get to know Japanese cuisine. We also will find and support the younger generation from ASEAN countries who want to play an active role in the future of Japanese cuisine.

2. ONE DAY Cooking Class for ASEAN Students

As part of a project (activities) to promote Japanese cooking techniques, we are holding ONE DAY Japanese cooking classes for ASEAN students in Japan.

In these classes, you will learn the basics, diversity and depth of Japanese culinary arts. Also, participants can enjoy cooking together in an international atmosphere, make new friends and create more connections.

3. Introduction of Japanese culinary in ASEAN

MPKEN cooperates with local international exchange organizations and cooking schools in ASEAN countries to carry out international exchange activities through Japanese cuisine and activities to disseminate Japanese cooking techniques.

Interest in safe and healthy Japanese food is growing in ASEAN. Many local Japanese restaurants have opened, but due to a lack of institutions or organizations teaching Japanese cooking techniques, the training of Japanese food specialists has not yet progressed.

MPKEN does not specifically train people to be good at cooking, but we hope that there will emerge people who are interested in Japanese cuisine and aspire towards it.
