A variety of financial reports are available in Netsuite at any time. MSC also provides a monthly Statement of Financial Position to each project after the close of each month.
Your statement will be saved in your project's folder on the MSC Google Drive. If you need assistance locating your project's folder or understanding your statements, please reach out to your Project Advisor.
Your Project Advisor will contact you if the cash balance falls below six months of your project’s average operating budget plus current liabilities. These advance communications are intended to make sure project directors are aware of cash flow shortages so they can begin to take proactive cost-reduction measures and ensure project sustainability. This collaboration will greatly reduce the likelihood of being faced with difficult decisions regarding termination of staff and suspension of operations.
Hiring staff, bringing staff back from furloughs, and entering into binding agreements, such as contracts, are contingent upon having adequate confirmed funding to cover the costs to be incurred. As the actual funds may not be received until a future date, confirmed funding does not help with an immediate cash shortage. However, depending on the nature of the confirmed funding and the effective date of the grant agreement, project-related expenses may be permitted pending receipt of the confirmed funds.
MSC provides custom financial reports in several commonly requested formats via Netsuite. To find a complete list of available reports, please click here.
