Our findings from Little Molas Lake was that the lake is healthy overall with a little excess plant growth from the nearby camp ground.

The water quality test at Molas Lake changed my perspective on the importance of science and understanding the world around me because it showed me that even the smallest amount of detergents can make the lake have a little excess plant growth.
Describe one step of the scientific method that you found particularly challenging or interesting during this project. How do you plan to improve or build on your scientific skills in the future?
One step of the scientific method that I found particularly challenging or interesting was how easy it was to take all of the tests. One way I want to improve and build my scientific skills is being patient and making my notes so that I can read them.
Long Term Learning Target: I can apply my understanding of the structure and properties of matter by professionally demonstrating a chemical reaction and explaining how it occurs verbally, visually and in writing.
The content that was on the science test was things about atoms, atomic mass, atomic numbers and bonding. On this test I got a 6/6 or a 100%. I think I got this because I worked hard in class and payed attention. In the future I hope to work just as hard and keep getting good grades.
The content of this quiz was, bonding and different reactions like Exothermic and Endothermic. I go a meets because I put effort into my learning before the quiz. On my future tests I hope to get a meets, I will do this by continuing to try hard.
The content of the this test was a combination from the first and second quiz, all about the basics of chemistry. I got a Exceeds, I think I got this grade because a payed a lot of attention in class and worked hard durring class. My goal for next time is to get all the questions correct.
In this assignment I got a meets+. I got this grade because I payed a lot of attention in class so I could make my anchor chart better. The purpose of this anchor chart was to help us remember what we learned in class that day. I hope to get and exceeds on the next anchor chart. I will do this by putting more information from the lesson on each.
In this exhibition I had the reaction of Elephant Toothpaste. The exhibition was about chemistry. For this exhibition I got an over all grade of any Exceeds. I think I got this grade because I did extra work to help my group and was the leader using polite and kind reminders.

This quiz was about waves and how they work and interact. In this quiz we did not learn most of the content in the quiz, this made is challenging. I got developing, I think I could have done better if we had learned all the content on the quiz in class and I had my anchor chart. In the future I hope to do better one way I could do this is by remembering my anchor chart. Another thing that would be helpful is learning these things in class to better understand.
The purpose of this anchor chart was to help us get a deeper understanding of the topics we were learning each day in class. On this anchor chart I got an exceeds. I think I got this grade because I worked really hard every night after a science class to make sure I knew what was happening in class and why. On the next anchor chart I hope to get an exceeds because I think putting the extra information and diaphragms helps me deepen my understanding. Next time I would like to print the information because I can read it better and the diaphragms make more sense.
Artifact Description:
I made a cardboard button that went into the lock box for when they escaped, it acted like the thing to start the engine and escape. It had a red round part on top and a brown on the bottom.
I was not there but I heard that the parents had a good balance of what they needed to solve. Also, everyone worked together because they needed everything to solve it. The way that we set up our escape room made it simple enough for people to escape but still use their brain.
The most challenging thing for the players was learning to work together with people they did not know. Also, something that was challenging was the fact that they had to find the puzzles and clues before escaping. Something that might have been challenging to them was the number order in order to open the lock box.
I was not there so it is hard to say how much the escape room taught them but, based on the information we provided in the clues and puzzles I think they could learn a lot. The reason I think this is because we all put a lot of information in the clues and worked really hard. Something that I think was a flaw in the plan was how some of the things were unfinished looking.
I think the players would be somewhat immersed in the escape room because we made a good intro story, sound escape to enhance the experience. The reason that they may not be totally immersive is because it was a little hard to tell that the room was an alien space shuttle due to the fact that the “walls” had little decoration. Finlay, I think that the information and feeling in the tent was good but it did not feel like a UFO.
If I got the chance to do an escape room again I would make more artifacts and decorations for the sides of the tent. Also, the way that we designed our clues made it a little tricky for people to know the order of the numbers on the lock box. So overall in the future I would like to make it feel more like the design of the escape room and make it so the puzzles make sense in the order of boxes and numbers.
I think that our group did okay at working together. For this exhibition my group had an extra challenge to overcome because I was gone for most of the exhibition night, the only part I was there for was the set up. This made it even more challenging because I had to help ensure that everyone knew what was happening with my clues and puzzles to make sure that if there were any problems they knew what to do.
For this exhibition I got a grade of Meets +. I think that I got this grade because I worked hard to make sure to work and collaborate with my group and do my own work. On the next exhibition I hope to get an exceeds. I will do this by working extra hard.
In this assignment we were tasked with telling people how all 3 of Newtons laws apply to rockets. In this assignment I learned that rockets dont push off the ground. It is actually Newtons 3rd law causing the fuel coming out to have an equal but opposite reaction. This will be important for the exhibition because I now understand how rockets can operate in space or a place that there is no ground to push off of.
The scientific topics that I covered in my anchor chart was all things that have something to do with rockets. This is things like mass and how it is different from weight. We also learned about Newtons 3 laws, Inertia, Force = Mass times Acceleration and for every action there is an equal but opposite reaction. These things all apply to rockets.
In this unit we had 3 quizzes, for the first on I got a Meets and on the second and third I got an exceeds. I got theses grades on the quizzes because I made sure to pay attention in class and complete my anchor chart to the best of my ability after every class period.
On a scale of one two five I would rate my anchor chart effort a 5 because I made sure to write all my knowledge down and make my own graphics to go along and explain it. I think this also helped me on the quiz because I was able to look at the diaphragms to make more scene of things. I think that my effort on my anchor chart has improved through out the year because I have gotten a better understanding of what I need on my anchor chart. I think that the anchor chart has helped me make sure to listen to the hole class so I have the best understanding I can. I have learned that I need to put in the effort every night and make sure not to procrastinate because than it gets really hard to do. I think that I can use this for high school because I will understand the improtants of paying attention and being present for class. Also I can put the best of my work into everything I do and not procrastinate.
