The context of  this seminar was injustices of found in the book just mercy. I got an exceeds on both the oral and the written assignment. I think that I got the exceeds because I put a lot of effort into the written one. For the oral on I listened with my eyes and ears and found quotes when necessary. One goal I have for my next seminar is to talk more than the necessary times of talking. 

In this log we have written a summary and found a quote from the book that shows an injustice. 

In this project I learn about how the injustices of the past are still effect our modern day society. More specifically that women are still getting treated like a lower class, getting payed less, less opportunities and so on. Some of the new concepts and skills that I learned during this project was how to properly convey a message to your audience, this will help me a ton in the future. For this TED talk we were graded on two things Oral and Reaserch. For the Oral presentation I got a meets, I got this grade because I did not fully memorize my script, (it was not required to memorize your script for an exceeds, not all teachers knew this). For the research part I got an exceeds, I think I got this because I put did an extra sorce to make sure I knew what I was talking about and I added some extra things to my slide show. 

One goal I would like to set for the next humanities exhibition is to memorize my scrip and be well rehearsed. 

For this essay we had to choice a contraversal topic, pic a side and provide research to show that our side is the right one.

This is where we write a summary of every chapter we read. We also find a quote for the chapter we read to show if we think Kit Carson is guilty or not. 

During this project we learned many social studies and language arts concepts such as how to read a book and get information out of it, and learning how to effectively put knowledge to use for a final project. This project has helped me grow as a learner because I can communicate with my group members and I was pushed to think and go outside of my comfort zone. I grew from these things because I can now work and challenge my slelf to go outside of my confort zone and think outside of the box. During and before this trial we not only worked in groups but learned about the laws of a trial and cort, this will help me in the future because it allows me to get a better understanding of how things work in trials. Also, I learned how to learn something entirely new and put it to use. The Mock Trial project helped me learn to be more open minded towards peoples opinions and ideas. I learned that I can work and think outside of the box more than I thought, I can work towards things in a creative way. For this project I would give myself a grade of meets plus to exceeds because I worked hard to make sure that everyones ideas in our group was herd and put into this project in some way. Also, during the trial I worked to speak up so my voice so I could be heard during the trial. Some goals I have for the next exhibition are to continue to put in hard work, challenge my self to go above and beyond and make sure to communicate with all of my group members.

Socratic Seminar:

The purpose of this assignment was to have us as students converse and discus things happening in the book Blood and Thunder. This helped me open up my mind to others people's ideas and opinions. For the Socratic Seminar I got a grade of Exceeds. I got this grade because I worked hard to complete the written part and add on to others ideas during the seminar. The habits of heart and mind that I used to complete this assignment was respect and effort because you to be respectful to everyone participating in the seminar, I used effort because I had to work to complete the pre assignment and listen during the seminar. 

Blood and Thunder Readers Log:

The purpose of this assignment was to help us analyze text and get a deeper understanding of the what is happening in the book. The grade I got for this assignment was exceeds, I think I got this grade because I worked hard everyday after we read the book to fill out the necessary things. This assignment made me use integrity, effort and refinement. I used integrity by not using AI to give me a summary and find a quote, also I made sure to do it after every time we read the book. I used effort because I had to put in lots of work to complete it to my best of abilities. Last but not least refinement because I would go back through and read what I had wrote to make sure my spelling and grammar was okay. 

Mock Trial Prep Assignment #5:

The purpose of this assignment was to help us get a better understanding of how and what the defence does during the trial. For this assignment I did not receive a grade but I imagine I would have gotten a meets. I think I would have gotten this grade because I worked hard to read the full article and answer the questions to the best of my ability. I used effort, respect and refinement during this assignment. I had to use effort to read and understand the full article then answer the questions. I used respect when we shared our answers with our group mates becaue I listed the whole time so I could deepen my understanding. Finaly I used refinment because after we shared out I eddited and changed some of my answers because I had learned somthing from my group mates.
