A quadratic is a type of polynomial equation or function where the highest degree or power of the variable is x^2. The name is derived from the Latin  word for square. Quadratic expressions typically take the standard for of ax^2+bx+c=0 where a, b, and c are constants and a doesn't equal 0. These equations are commonly used in physics to model trajectories and in engineering. I got a meets on the final because I got 56/68 points.
