Our 7th grade level lens is identity. To me that means who you are, what you believe, what you like and everything about who you are! Identity is the hardest grade level lens because at this age you have to look deep and answer questions you never knew existed. During “identity class” we worked on many identity-making projects, including a self portrait with outside details about yourself and inside details. Another project we did is a plaster mask, which was, to say the least, painful. We put wet plaster of Paris on our faces and made masks which were HORRIBLE, but we managed to change that with some pretty painting and hard work.

We used character traits and stuff to write a poem about our lives, what we like, what we remember and who we know.
