The socratic seminar was about the connection between the constitution and modern day injustices in Just Mercy. On the written assignment I got an exceeds and on the spoken part I got a meets plus because I made a text to text connection along with other things. For my next seminar I want to quote from the text and not an outside source.

During this project I learned about antisemitic incidents in the U.S. and how they have affected modern Jews. During the project I gained the ability to create a good thesis and form a slideshow based on my research. For my oral presentation I got a meets, for my slides I got a meets, and I got an exceeds on my research.
I think the goal(s) of this project was about learning about the legal system, and allowing us to learn about manifest destiny. Social studies and ELA concepts that I learned range from being able to write effective and concise things for our trial, and knowing the functions of a trial, also. I don't think I grew as a student very much during the project, but I was able to talk a lot without my voice crashing out :D. I learned about how to testify in court, and how to do a lot of things in the courtroom. I learned that I am a good interrogator and I can react in good ways when random or unexpected things happen. Based on the rubic, I would give myself a meets because of my teamwork, and ability to refine.
The socratic seminars.. are not my favorite. They were often really long and boring, and I got approachings on a lot of them because I didn't talk enough. I definitely put a lot of effort into the socratic seminar sheets, but I struggle with putting the quotes and things I wrote into words during a seminar.
This was a small reading of a short story. I think I got a meets, but it might have been an exceeds. We had to write a suuuper long RACES paragraph in response to a question, and I used a lot of refinement.
The assignments like the written aspect are what make up the mock trial prep. On these we wrote things like our opening and closing statements, our directs, and our crosses. It used a lot of integrity not to use AI when writing the openings because it was difficult.
This assignment was us reading the book Blood and Thunder in chapter segments and documenting an important quote and a description of the chapter. I received an exceeds because of my in depth descriptions and I got every chapter. It used a lot of effort to keep up with how fast we were reading the book and we were skipping around.
I chose to intern at EnVision eyecare, which is a company that does eye exams, retinal screening, and fixes glasses. The optometrist, who is basically the doctor, was Ms. Gretchen Arneson. I chose this location because I wanted to do something in the medical field, but it had to be close to the school for transportation issues. I took a lot away from the experience, but most of it was new skills and knowledge about optometry. The impact that this internship had on me was that it made me sure that I wanted to work in medical. I was on the edge, but know that I know how it works, I really love it. I think that the people that helped me were impacted by how quickly I learned, and I hope they remember me c:
