Our counselors at Mountain Heights Academy have created these groups for you to join, learn new skills, and meet others with the same interests and experiences!

ANXIETY SKILL BUILDING GROUP
A group designed for students to learn about coping skills to help manage their anxiety. Topics covered include a lesson on anxiety, mindfulness, breathing techniques, positive affirmation and the power of self-talk, visualizations, and bilateral stimulation.
HAPPINESS GROUP
A group to discuss what happy people do and what they think about. We'll also talk about practical strategies for having a happier life. Meetings are held once a week for 8 weeks in the Fall. This group is open to students from grades 7th-9th.Â
SOCIAL/RELATIONSHIP SKILLS GROUP
A group designed to help 9th-12th graders navigate some of the social challenges that arise during this part of life. These include handling social situations, understanding social cues, conversations, handling sensitive subjects, mending damaged relationships, and improving self-confidence.
GIRL TALK
A group designed for girls in grades 7th-9th to have fun, be inspired, and learn confidence-building skills. Led by supportive student leaders, we meet online for discussions twice each month, with in-person activities during the fall and spring.
INCLUSION GROUP
A group designed to be a safe space for all students in 9th-12th grade. We discuss strengths-based topics and have fun while building friendships, support, and connection.
