College Visits
Whether you're in 7th grade or in 12th, it's NEVER too early or too late to visit a college you're interested in learning more about. Taking a tour of the campus is helpful in understanding what programs the school offers, what student life is like, what kinds of scholarships and financial aid are available, and more!Â
We want YOU to come with us as we learn more about Utah colleges and universities that may sound interesting to you! One parent is welcome to join as well.Â
Be sure to set apart 1 - 2 hours for each tour. Also, be sure to wear comfortable shoes, appropriate clothing for the weather, and come prepared with questions! All students must bring their Mountain Heights Academy Student ID. Transportation will NOT be provided by Mountain Heights Academy, students must arrive in personal vehicles.
Contact your counselor to find out about upcoming college tours! Here is a link to sign up!

COLLEGE TIPS
Your Time to Shine
Be honest, be original, be you! Your application is a chance to tell the school about your accomplishments, overcoming adversities, community engagement, citizenship, leadership, etc. This is what will separate you from the other candidates.
Become a Storyteller
Admissions Advisors read thousands of essays -- grab their attention from the start! Be sure to answer the question they’re asking. Proofread, revise, and have others read over your essays. Check your grammar.
Choose Your Recommenders Wisely
Think about those you have connected with - teachers, managers, mentors, etc. Give them ample time to write your recommendation so they can do a good job. Consider giving them additional info they might not know about you such as accomplishments so they can write a more complete recommendation.Â
Apply EarlyÂ
Don’t wait. Take the time to make your application the best it can be, but submit early.
Read & Re-read the Instructions
Know your deadlines. Be thorough. Ask questions.
“Optional” Really Isn’t Optional
You need to complete everything in your application.
Demonstrate Real Interest
Research the school’s mission, vision, etc, and add some of that into your application.
Keep Copies of Everything
Any documents and applications that you submit or confirmation emails you receive.
Requesting Your Transcript
Please go to this link to request your transcript for yourself or to be sent to a school you’re applying to!Â
