WORK STUDY
Mountain Heights Academy offers a work-study program that will allow you to earn up to 2 elective credits for working.
45 hours worked equals .25 elective credits. If you work 360 hours, you’ll be able to earn the full 2.0 elective credits.
You can count hours that you’ve worked from the first day of your junior year to the end of your senior year, including the summer in between.
To be eligible, you need to be employed by a company that provides official paychecks showing the number of hours worked, the amount paid per hour, and the total dollar amount earned.
When you are nearing completion of your work hours, your counselor will enroll you in the work-study shell course. In order to earn credit, you’ll need to complete the 5 short assignments in that shell course.
