WORK STUDY

Mountain Heights Academy offers a  work-study program that will allow you to earn up to 2 elective credits for working.

• • 45 hours worked equals .25 elective credits. If you work 360 hours, you’ll be able to earn the full 2.0 elective credits.

  • You can count hours that you’ve worked from the first day of your junior year to the end of your senior year, including the summer in between.

  • To be eligible, you need to be employed by a company that provides official paychecks showing the number of hours worked, the amount paid per hour, and the total dollar amount earned.

  • When you are nearing completion of your work hours, your counselor will enroll you in the work-study shell course. In order to earn credit, you’ll need to complete the 5 short assignments in that shell course.
