AIM: To measure an athletes muscular endurance
The sit-up test is a measure the endurance of the abdominal and hip-flexor muscles, but more generally a measure of muscular endurance. The aim of this test is to perform as many sit-ups as you can in 1 minute.
Stop Watch
Yoga mat (for comfort)
Lie flat on your back on the floor with your feet flat and legs bent at a 45 degree angle and your arms crossed with your hands on opposite shoulders.
Your partner should hold your feet. When the timer says go, sit up until your elbows touch your knees and then lie back down.
Repeat this as many times as you can in 1 minute.
