AIM: To measure an athletes hand strength
The purpose of this test is to measure the maximum strength of the hand and forearm muscles. Handgrip strength is important for any sport in which the hands are used for catching, throwing or lifting.
Grip strength machine (Dynamometer)
The athlete lifts their arm straight above their head holding the grip strength machine.
Taking three seconds, they squeeze the lever as hard as they can while lowering their arm.
Repeat 3 times on each arm and record best result for each arm
