AIM: To measure an athletes arm power
This is a simple test of upper body strength and power, requiring only a basketball, a wall and tape measure. The aim is to throw a basketball using both hands as far as possible. By keeping the back in contact with the wall the contribution of the torso is minimised.

Sit against the wall with your back flat against it and your legs straight out in front of you.
Complete a chest pass without taking your back off the wall or your legs off the ground. Your partner should record the distance of your throw
Repeat 3 times and record your furthest throw
