Good Narrative Composition

COMPOSITION NOTES

A good narrative composition is relevant, interesting and meaningful (RIM), with accurate and varied language that helps the reader imagine the story vividly.

The plot must centre around the theme and the chosen picture(s) must be important to the development of the story.

*** A plot is a summary of the main ideas in a story.

A meaningful story is about something important to the main character or an idea that is important to society.

A learning point is what the main character learns through the experience that is described in the story. It should be related to the theme.
