BDS NCC (Land) is one of the Uniformed-Groups CCAs in BDS. Our cadets strive to perform their best, regardless of the position they hold in the CCA. BDS NCC Unit has acquired honourable achievements and also participated in enriching programmes such as the NCC Overseas Cadet Exchange Programme, Precision Drill Squad (PSD) Basic Instructor (BI) & Auxiliary Instructor (AI) course, and FreeStyle Drill (FSD) BI & AI course, just to name a few. PDS is a series of coordinated drill performance with the use of a rifle while FSD is series of basic drills coordinated for a sophisticated performance that showcases our knowledge on drills learnt during NCC.

In NCC, we strive for the best when we lead and when we carry out activities. The leading cadets of BDS NCC prioritise quality of the training so that when their junior cadets get promoted, they can pass down what they have learnt and incorporate these into their training. Through our CCA trainings, we hone our leadership skills through various activities. In training, we not only polish our individual leadership skills but we work together to improve our other skills such as taking initiative, being able to work well with others, and being responsible. All these are aligned with the vision of NCC Singapore, "To nurture inspiring leaders and committed citizens through fun, adventurous and military-related activities."

Through the activity, it teaches the cadets how society can prepare itself for crises, how to respond to them and how the society could repair and recover from a crisis.

Therefore, the cadets will be more mentally prepared for a crisis if it strikes.

The cadets are taught to prepare simple meals like instant noodles and some canned foods. The cadets are taught to keep their surroundings clean. Outdoor Cooking provides the cadets with an interesting and unique experience while allowing the cadets to pick up some new life skills.

The cadets learn various movement and field signals which are useful for communication. The cadets are also given some time to practice the techniques and master them, and at the same time help out their fellow mates when they need help. Through this, the cadets not only master the various movements but also articulate a sense of teamwork within the group.

Through this activity, the cadets learn how to appreciate the school staff who have worked very hard to keep the school a safe and conducive learning space. Through this activity, they also learn to not just appreciate the school staff / cleaners but everyone around them.
