Our Motto : The surest way not to fail is to be determined to succeed.

Our Mission : To exhibit a high standard of Malay Dance performances while displaying graciousness, elegance, passion and multiculturalism through our dance movements.

BDSS Malay Dance Club consists of an exuberant and exciting group of students with a great passion in traditional and contemporary Malay dance. It is actively involved in all school-based events as well as public performances.

Events we have participated in :

• Received Distinction awards for SYF Dance Presentations in 2013, 2015, 2017 and 2021.

• Hari Raya showcase on the 9^th of May 2022, during our school morning assembly.

• Malay Dance Competition, on the 08^th of July 2022 at the Geylang Serai Persada Budaya and clichéd the Best Costume Award.

• Performed in Siglap Community Centre on the 6th of August 2022 as part of Singapore’s 57^th birthday celebrations. The dance item, entitled ‘Sulam Sembilan’ showcased the elegant movement of Zapin which originates from the Middle Eastern countries. Our dancers executed contemporary dance moves with traces of tradition so as to preserve basic fundamental elements in Malay Dance.

• Performed for our school’s National Day celebration on the 8^th of August 2022.

• They actively participated in our school’s Open House on the 26^th of November 2022.
