We can all agree that teaching online has been an important challange over the past couple of months. To help with this transition, here is an excellent tool you can use to make your online classroom more attractive, dynamic, and engaging for students.
ActiveTeach by Pearson is an interactive extension to the Market Leader series which you can download directly to your computer. It is available to you through your Pearson account (MyEnglishLab sign-in).
We highly recommend that you use this tool as it will make your life so much simpler. With ActiveTeach you can:
Visualize book pages - zoom in, zoom out, and focus on specific activities.
Listen to the class audios and watch interviews - they're integrated into the digital pages of the book.
Access additional exercises and accessment activities.
Downloading ActiveTeach is simple:
- Log on to your MyEnglishLab account.
2. Select the book for the level you're teaching.

8. Click on the "Shortcut" created on your desktop and run the program. We suggest clicking on "Don't save my work" if you have multiple groups or PTPs with the same book.

9. You should now visualize the content that ActiveTeach has to offer. Click on the unit that you're working on and navigate the platform with your "Toolbox".

10. Now you're ready to use ActiveTeach. The "stars" indicate interactive activities and the "play" or "video" icons contain the audios and videos related to the lesson. Enjoy!
