FBLA Individual Role-Play Events are competitions where a single participant is given a business-related scenario and must analyze the situation, develop a solution, and present their recommendations to a panel of judges. These events assess a competitor's ability to think critically, communicate professionally, and solve real-world business challenges under time constraints.
Event Format:
Objective Test (For Some Events) – Some individual role-play events include a multiple-choice test to assess foundational business knowledge.
Scenario Preparation Time – Participants receive a business scenario or case study and have 10–20 minutes to analyze the problem and create a solution.
Presentation Time – Competitors present their recommendations to judges in a 5–7 minute presentation.
Q&A Session – Judges ask follow-up questions to evaluate the participant's decision-making, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Help Desk
Competitors simulate a technical support scenario, where they assist a customer or business with IT-related issues, providing solutions in a professional and efficient manner.
Technology Support & Services:
Competitors demonstrate their knowledge of help desk operations and IT support, applying problem-solving, technical, and customer service skills to address real-world technology support issues.
