The FBLA Individual Presentation Event allows a single participant to deliver a business-related presentation, either prepared or impromptu. It evaluates communication skills, creativity, professionalism, and subject knowledge. Participants must follow event guidelines and meet NLC eligibility requirements. List of Individual Presentation Events:
Electronic Career Portfolio – Competitors create and present a digital career portfolio showcasing their achievements, experiences, and skills.
Future Business Educator – Participants develop a lesson plan on a business-related topic and present a portion of it as if teaching a class.
Future Business Leader – This event includes a cover letter, resume, an objective test, and an interview-style presentation demonstrating leadership skills.
Impromptu Speaking – Competitors receive a random business-related topic and have 10 minutes to prepare and 5 minutes to present their speech.
Introduction to Public Speaking (9th & 10th Grade Only) – Participants prepare and deliver a 5-minute speech on a given topic.
Job Interview – Competitors submit a resume and cover letter, followed by a mock interview with judges.
Public Speaking – Participants develop and deliver a 5-minute prepared speech on a pre-determined business-related topic.
