Visible Learning Strategy - Choiceboards - activity options on charts that include various squares. Each square is an activity for students to choose from to show their learning. The different options for learning should reflect different options for different learning styles, like visual, kineshetic, or audio.The activities help students learn or practice a primary concept, while allowing them a choice. They can progress from one activity to another to learn new material or choose one as a way to show their learning.

The Choiceboard to the left provides students different options for showing their learning based on analysis of the text at hand. This is a writing about reading Choiceboard, rooted in standards for Central Idea, Point of View, Compare and Contrast, and Text-to-Self Connection.

The Choiceboard below, a SS Choiceboard, provides different opportunities for students to reflect and work across SS topics and connect to other content areas. It ALSO asks the students to reflect on the learning that took place for them, in the middle box. This empowers them as Visible Learner, metacognitive and reflective.
