Banned Books Club
Our mission is to raise awareness on censorship issues in our community and explore targeted books. Once a month we meet to discuss a "banned" book voted on by the group. We encourage civil discourse relevant to why the book was challenged and issues surrounding the controversy. Books are being removed from school libraries across the country at an alarming rate without student involvement. We seek to make a difference by making our voices heard. Pizza is provided at every meeting for participating students.
1. We read book that have been banned all around the country to have inclusivity
2. We read books that many people don't have access too
3. It a good ways for people who love to read to come together
