DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe. There are opportunities for leadership and the school, state and national level, and scholarships to various colleges. Through our state and national competitions, students learn presentation skills, network with business professionals, meet students within MCPS, the state and the world and make new friends. All are welcome! 

RM is the # 1 Chapter in the State of Maryland for 4 straight years! We have traveled to Orlando, Anaheim, and Atlanta for competitions. State Competitions allow you to meet other students and have lots of fun. Many students find that having DECA on your application/resume helps them get into the college of their choice. Past graduates are now attending Georgetown, Columbia, Wharton School of Business, University of Maryland College Park, Stanford, Howard University and more. Marriott is our business partner.

Imagine fantasy football but betting on stocks instead of teams... (that's us!) we meet once a week and compete throughout the year to see who (individuals + teams) can make the most of $100,000 of fake money in a virtual stock simulator. During meetings, we'll collectively grow our practical knowledge of investing through a hands-on approach of sharing insights of the week on stock picks, strategies, relevant news, economic forecasts, and more.

Our club ALSO helps with prepping and registering RM students for the Wharton Global High School Investment Competition, one of the most prestigious business/investment competitions for high schoolers in the world! Last year, our leadership team reached the top 50 of 1300+ teams competing. The competition is run by the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business (ranked #1 in the country), with thousands of teams competing each year.

A club to teach students essential financial literacy skills while also preparing them for various Young Investors Society competitions and events. Young Investors Society is a non-profit organization formed by Wall Street investors that aims to teach fundamental investing concepts to high school students.
