Our meetings will be a mix of cultural discussions and social activities. We'll explore various African traditions, languages or current events and sometimes we'll let students lead presentations! Our members will be encouraged to participate in discussions, support each other and also contribute to our events/projects for example helping us with a new topic, or sharing their own perspectives.

The Richard Montgomery Black Student Union is an organization for promoting black excellency, discussion, and representing African American/Black Culture within our school and county. One of our main goals is to uplift the black community through meetings and event planning to share our culture. Finally, we are a safe place for students to discuss and share their ideas regarding topics that heavily impact them.
Our meetings usually involve a guided presentation format that opens into open-forum discussions where members can add or create a new topic of discussion. Some of our notable achievements include two successful Diaspora Nights during February which include a talent showcase, food, presentations, and a fashion show.

The Chinese Cultural Club celebrates and shares Chinese culture with the RMHS community, explore Chinese traditions, festivals, and customs through interactive activities and learn simple Chinese language phrases and cultural expressions.
We will:
Celebrate traditional Chinese holidays such as Lunar New Year, Mid-Autumn Festival, and Dragon Boat Festival with games and activities.
Explore Chinese arts and culture, including crafts, food, calligraphy-inspired activities, paper cutting, and storytelling.
Learn simple Chinese phrases and cultural expressions that are easy and fun to use in daily life, have a Chinese name.

The National Chinese Honor Society (NCHS) is a scholastic organization that promotes and recognizes students who demonstrate citizenship, leadership, and community service. The purpose of the National Chinese Honor Society is to encourage its members to become life-long learners in order to gain a better understanding of Chinese language and culture, as well as to play an active role as a contributing global citizen in the twenty-first century.

"The Cultural Exchange Club is a student-led initiative at Richard Montgomery High School dedicated to promoting cultural awareness, inclusivity, and global learning. The club provides students with opportunities to share their cultural backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives through monthly prompts, discussions, and showcases. Participation is open to all students and designed to be flexible, with most activities conducted virtually through Google Forms.
The purpose of the club is to foster mutual understanding, highlight immigrant and multicultural voices, and create a stronger sense of community within the school. Student officers will manage the monthly activities and communications, while the faculty sponsor will provide oversight to ensure compliance with school guidelines."

Offer three different foods from cultures throughout the world to try at each meeting. Goal is for each attendee to try at least one new thing per meeting. During a 5-minute talk by the President, members learn interesting facts and a short history about the culture of each food item.
We provide a fun and easy way for students to try new foods and expand their culinary experience. We educate students on how these foods relate to larger cultural histories to enhance appreciation of the richness and diversity of the world., and we help students connect and bond through experiencing and discussing new foods.

The Jewish Student Union of Richard Montgomery aims to entertain and teach members about the rich intricacies and variance of Jewish culture. We highly encourage both Jewish students and non-Jewish student to attend. We do fun activities that relate to lessons we learn through Judaism!

M2 ( Multicultural & Multiracial club) is an inclusive club. EVERYONE is welcome. The purpose is to bring people of all backgrounds to have a safe place to express themselves or just hang out. Not only is this club bringing awareness too ethnicities of all types, but also to people of all religions or backgrounds. This club is almost a meeting spot at lunch a couple of times a semester where we will advocate, bring awareness, serve food of different cultures, and possibly bring guest speakers in of multicultural/racial groups that are doing positive things in the community.

Muslim Student Association (MSA) is a religious club dedicated to establishing and maintaining Islamic societies in Montgomery County and RMHS. La Société Honoraire de Français aims to promote interest in the study of French and encourage enthusiasm in French culture. Members will have the opportunity to develop their French skills as well as their understanding of French culture through activities such as: National French Week, Le Grand Concours (the National French Contest), and tutoring other French students. We are often found eating Francophone food, watching francophone movies, participating in le Grand Concours.

The Spanish National Honors Society is an honor society for high school students enrolled in Spanish to recognize achievement in Spanish. The Spanish club is an open access club for all students to engage in Spanish language and culture.

RMHS Little Manilatown is a great place to learn more about Filipino culture in RM. There will be days when we do presentations on Philippine history and discuss important historical figures such as Jose Rizal and Tandang Sora. There will also be days when we learn about mystical aspects of Filipino culture such as folklore and superstitions.
We will have fun making Filipino poetry, reading classic literature, singing songs, and more.
RMHS Little Manilatown is also a place for Filipino students to meet and speak in Filipino (Tagalog and Bisaya).
The idea of RMHS Little Manilatown was originally born out of the club founder's desire to have a haven where he can meet other Filipinos and converse with them in their native tongue as well as his desire to help American born Filipinos improve their proficiency in Tagalog.
RMHS Little Manilatown is a place to learn about and discuss Filipino History.
In RMHS Little Manilatown, we will have fun writing Filipino poetry, reading classic literature, singing songs, and more.
