MCPS Scholarship Data Collection
MCPS Scholarship Data Collection
The CCIC completes a report due in mid-May which details the total amount of merit scholarships awarded to the class for the current year. This information is completed on a form called the “Scholarship Data College Sheet” (example) which is sent electronically to all CCICs. In order to complete the form, the CCIC asks the students how much they have received in scholarship offers. The scholarship is calculated for four years. For example, if a student has received offers of $5,000 per year from ABC College and $10,000 per year from XYZ College, the total would be $20,000 for ABC College and $40,000 for XYZ College with $80,000 in college scholarship offers for that student. This information can be added in Naviance from the student’s account:
Go to “Students” in Naviance
Click on the student’s name
Click on “Add Scholarship”
Click on the “Look Up” link to see if the scholarship already exists, and if not, create the scholarship and add the four-year total for each college by which the student has been accepted
To find the information needed for the Scholarship Data Collection sheet:
Click on “Reports”
Click on “Scholarships Summary by Student”
This report will give the total merit scholarship amount—however, it will need to be broken down by ethnicity
