Discuss standardized test plan (ACT, SAT, TOEFL, Accuplacer)
Remind students to complete Brag Sheet and/or Parent Questionnaire
Discuss the importance of deadline dates (college and financial aid)
Utilize Naviance
Discuss the FAFSA, MHEC ONE-APP, CSS Profile, and Net Price Calculator
Explain admissions terms, Academic Common Market and Fairtest.org
Discuss merit and need-based scholarships
Explore essay topics and discuss importance
Review recommendation requests and requirements
Some colleges require students to complete the SRAR (Self-Reported Academic Record) as part of their application. The SRAR allows students to self-report courses and grades that have been completed, or will be attempted (e.g., senior year courses in-progress), for high school credit.
