Financial Aid Night is held at every high school in MCPS. It is the CCIC’s responsibility to find the speakers—one English-speaking, one Spanish-speaking, and one Spanish translator, if applicable—for the event. Ask other CCICs for a list of financial aid speakers. You are responsible for having materials available for all parents at the event. Set a date for the first event in late September or early October.
MONTGOMERY COLLEGE EOC
There is also an organization at Montgomery College called the Educational Opportunity Center. This organization helps students and parents with the FAFSA Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Parents and students need to make an appointment. Ask other CCICs for a flyer.
Financial aid events at Montgomery College happen every year virtually and in person. Montgomery College will provide flyers a couple of months in advance. The event provides students and parents with step-by-step help with the application. These events are very popular and it’s important to advertise them weekly. Parents and students must register to attend.
