Scholarships, Programs & Special Opportunities
You will receive a lot of scholarship information through the U.S. mail, email and through scholarship databases. It is your responsibility to advertise scholarships opportunities through as many vehicles as possible. Some ways include: emails via Naviance, PTSA listserv, daily school announcements, and the school and CCIC websites. Sometimes, it is necessary to individually contact students who would be good candidates for an opportunity.
There are several opportunities which MCPS strongly supports and expects support from each high school. Information about these generally comes via email to the principal and/or the CCIC. Attention to detail and inclusion of all eligible students is warranted.

The application information about the above-mentioned scholarships will arrive via email. You can also ask other CCICs about them.
MCPS endorses and promotes special opportunities for student development. The expectation is that each high school will have students participate. Information is distributed by email directly to principals and other staff. Timing is throughout the year. Some of the programs include but are not limited to:
