So, you want to be a CCIC?

Your immediate support will come from your counseling department, the administrator over counseling at your school, and other CCICs. Most Friday mornings, there is a Zoom "coffee chat" with other MCPS CCICs that you can join to learn and ask questions. You can also reach out to Theresa Dethlefson, MCPS Coordinator of Student Well-Being and Achievement. You should expect to attend in-person countywide CCIC meetings monthly or bimonthly, at which you will sometimes be joined by people in adjacent roles, like Resource Counselors.
