5Cedar   Learning Update

Central idea: Technology constantly evolves to progress human societies.

As part of our second line of inquiry (looking into the use of technology around the world) the children produced art pieces of relief print and then using Adobe Spark converted them into digital art. The children used their computing skills to also create an animation which they thoroughly enjoyed. They demonstrated their understanding of the process by producing informative texts including a timeline of digital art and wrote instructions on how to change a relief print to digital art. This week, we have started line of inquiry three which dives into the impact of technological advancement on human societies. The children have been learning about Dubai and using their geography skills have described the changes to the features.

In Maths, I have been very impressed with their fraction work and their knowledge of multiplication has enhanced greatly.  Cedar class are growing in confidence in explaining their reasoning and using a variety of approaches to calculate the answer.

Well done and keep up the great work!
