Central idea: Natural disasters can impact living things and their environment

We got to be news reporters as part of our inquiry this week. We have watched news footage of the 2019 Christmas floods in Yalding and we imagined the impact it would have on the residents. To begin to understand why floods happen we have studied the water cycle and made posters.

In writing, we have written some beautiful poems based on our theme of water. We used repetition, simile and alliteration.

In maths we are recalling our 2, 5 and 10 times tables and learning the corresponding division facts.

In science we have thought about global habitats. We have written about the conditions, animals and plants that live in these very different parts of the world.
