6Aspen  Learning Update

Central idea: The natural world can be impacted by the human use of scientific and technological developments.

Over the last week, we have been bringing our inquiry learning to a close by focusing on the consequences of deforestation, mostly in how it is impacting our climate by causing global warming, desertification and rising sea levels. Alongside this, we have been working on our central idea inspired DT project. Combining our art and electricity learning, we have been able to put together our presentation boards, which then using our communication skills, we, today, have shared with the Early Years children to enlighten them into rainforests and deforestation. They, and we, loved it!

We have also completed our engaging narratives which considered the experiences of an orangutan during the deforestation of rainforests - it was clear through our writing that we are appalled over what is happening to our wildlife due to the actions of humans. 

Today, we also had a visit from PC Bingham to talk to us about transition and add to our thinking of the steps we need to take to get us secondary ready.

Parents - just so you are aware, we have some learning by question tasks to complete over half-term to ensure we keep our learning ticking over!
