1Willow     Learning Update

Central idea: The weather can affect how people live. 

It has been a busy time in Willow class the past two weeks. The children worked incredibly hard preparing for their drought relief fundraiser by making beautiful art, posters and projects to display at the event. This was incredibly successful thanks to everyone's efforts and it was wonderful to see so many families come together to support a charity and celebrate the children's exceptional learning. Prior to our fantastic action, the children had an opportunity to safely cut and taste winter vegetables, it was great fun and the children really showed a love of healthy eating!  

In maths we have been focusing on related facts and finding the missing number, although this concept can be tricky the children have shown wonderful use of their prior knowledge to help them be successful.
