Central idea: Natural disasters impact living things and their environments.

This week we have come to the end of our inquiry. The children have thoroughly enjoyed this unit of inquiry and are proud of the newspaper reports they published this week. We also looked at the impact of flooding, both the positives and negatives. After this we explored flooding worldwide, identifying different places around the world that experience huge floods! 

Once they had identified that Bangladesh is an area that experiences lots of flooding the children produced Rangoli Art both digitally and through printing. We finished off the inquiry by thinking about questions they would like to ask if they were interviewing a resident living on a floodplain. The children enjoyed role-playing these interviews while thinking about the effects and impact this has on individuals.
