Sustainable Development Goal 6: Clean water and sanitation

Year 2 have got off to a flying start this week, demonstrating excellent collaboration skills while immersing themselves into our sustainable development goals project. We have read 'The Water Princess' and learned about life in parts of the world that don't have access to clean running water. We have used our thinking skills when considering how we can build a water filter and put this into action.  We practised carrying heavy buckets of water so we could understand what it feels like to have to travel a long way to get water. Finally we made tippy taps, so that we had a supply of clean water with the press of a lever. 

PE will be every Monday and Thursday. Please make sure your child has a full PE kit in school all week.
