Sustainable Development Goal 6: Clean water and sanitation

We have had a fantastic start to the year this week. The children have thoroughly enjoyed our project based on the Sustainable Development Goal's. Year 2 have been looking at Goal 6, which is clean water and sanitation. 

We have read 'The Water Princess' and learnt about different parts of the world that don't have access to clean water. This inspired the children to look at some solutions: We built water filters, we practised carrying heavy buckets of water so we could understand what it feels like to have to travel a long way to get water and lastly, we made tippy taps, for a supply of clean water.

PE will be every Thursday and Friday. Please make sure your child has a full PE kit in school all week.
