3Beech Learning Update

Central idea: People can go on vacations to explore different communities.

In Inquiry, the children enjoyed looking at different tourism opportunities and began by cooking their very own pizza and Greek salad, which they absolutely loved! Then we moved on to music, specifically Latin American music and the children were able to improvise and compose their own piece inspired by this style of music. After, we focused on past holiday destinations and what holidays were like in the past. The children looked at seasides and compared images/ evidence of past holiday destinations to the present day. This was in preparation for our school trip to the Beach on Monday!

The children have also begun some assessments in reading and maths this week. They have worked really hard and should be very proud of themselves! 

In maths we have continued looking at time, specifically roman numerals and am and pm.
