2Sequoia Learning Update

Central idea: Human behaviour can affect the survival of our planet.

We have had another busy week of learning!  In maths, we have been consolidating our knowledge of multiplication and division to help us understand the concept of inverse.  This has also included the use of doubling and halving as well as exploring the new concepts of factors and products.  Children have enjoyed playing motivational games in maths as well as using equipment and different representations to help us solve problems.

During inquiry learning, we have been finishing our paper mache globes - collaging and then carefully placing the continents, whilst also writing up and presenting our research onto a wonderful fact page about an endangered animal.

It has been a busy week of PE, with preparation for sports day as well as enjoying a lively workshop with Hotshots Tennis coaches.  During outdoor learning today, children have been building shelters which needed to be strong and sturdy enough to keep a paper towel completely dry when water tested!

Please make sure your child has a full PE kit in school every day.
