1Spruce Learning Update
Central idea: People have a responsibility to understand how to look after living things (plants).
This week, we have been enjoying continuing our learning about trees with a focus on our book 'Tree Full of Wonder'. We have had discussions about deforestation, and the importance of planting new trees, from a sapling. After finishing our book, we even wrote book reviews and drew our favourite pages from the book.
After practising real life drawings of trees and leaves, in art, we researched all about Andy Goldsworthy and his incredible land art. We loved exploring his sculptures and even had a giggle at his use of cow dung to create art! We hope you enjoy looking at our sketches; the children used precision in their drawing to ensure the details of the leaves could be seen.
Reminders:
Please ensure children have a named water bottle in school everyday.
It is important to bring their PE kit in every Monday to ensure they are ready for PE lessons, especially being so close to Sports Day!
