Juniper Learning Update

Central idea: Shelters, for humans and animals, is a basic need.

As you may have heard from your children, Team Juniper have adopted an orangutan. We have spent time thinking about the ways that we can protect the orangutans and their shelter in the rainforests. We decided to raise money to give to the charities and make posters for others to see, to encourage them to save the rainforest too. Our GREEN day was a huge success, raising money by wearing our own clothes for the day and each paying a small donation sparked the children's interest further. It is incredible that our 4 and 5 year old little people are bettering the world we live in. Roman said: "We can actually help the world by ourselves." Yes we can, and we are!  The Rainforest Trust charity wrote to the Reception team to thank them for their hard work and their dedication to protecting rainforests. We are working hard to prepare our pizza restaurant this week by creating an orangutan fact file for our parents to read, making pizza tickets, menus and decorations from cardboard boxes to save the trees.

It was wonderful to see so many of you here for our mothers day celebrations. It was a lovely morning and the children were thrilled to have their mummies in their classroom for the morning.

Have a fantastic weekend!
