5Aspen Learning Update

Central idea: Migrants and explorers both influence, and are influenced by, the world around us.

Within the last week, we have explored the impact that historical settlers have had on Britain, in addition to starting to consider the significance of migration. We noted, through research, that the impact of our Anglo-Saxon and Viking settlers today is far reaching, including place names which we all know! Our focus on migration significance has seen us discover that push and pull factors can often result in rural to urban growth and the potential imbalances this brings.

In our maths, we have been continuing our work on decimals and fractions, and have explored the relationship percentages have with both of these, also taking into account equivalence.
