1Willow Learning Update

Central idea:  Learning about history can help me to understand the present.

This week has been a very busy week. We started off with a wonderful time having our mums in class with us for a great time together. Over the course of the week, we have spent a lot of time using our DT skills. We have designed a piece of clothing from the past that could fit a small doll or toy, the children then cut it out against the template and will join the materials together in our next lesson to bring our project to a close. This week we have continued with our story of Lost in the Toy Museum and the children have produced some wonderful writing. In art, we took some time to learn about weaving. The children produced beautiful pieces of work after learning about the skill. 

We have take some time this week to learn about Earth Hour and the importance that it holds. We have learnt why we need to be kind to our planet and look forward to celebrating Earth Hour some more next week.
