5Aspen Learning Update

Central idea: People with different beliefs may struggle for rights and freedoms.

This week, we completed our non-chronological reports on beliefs, rights and freedoms by presenting them in the format in which someone may view them. We then used our thinking skills to consider our central idea, and to explore whether people with different beliefs do struggle for rights and freedoms. After discussion, and considering all views, we then used our agency to create a piece of work to surmise all our learning from this module in responding to our central idea.

In maths, we have continued to build on our knowledge of addition and subtraction, exploring how these skills are applied within multi-step problems, and how we can use the bar model to support this process. We were also delighted with the outcome of our book, overjoyed at the fact that Ahmet will be reunited with his parents.
