2Maple Learning Update

Central idea: Exploring identity can develop a sense of belonging.

Last Friday, during our Korean celebration morning, children all chose their own Korean name from a name jar. This week, we have created our own name stamp, which involved great precision and skill in order to cut and place the string over our drawn monogram.

Children are fully immersed in the story of 'The Name Jar' as part of our inquiry into identity and belonging. This week, we created our own story map which we have used to write an extended narrative.

In maths, we have been using our knowledge of number bonds to 10 in order to find related facts and to add and subtract within 20. In science, we have been using our working scientifically skills in order to know the importance for humans to eat the right amounts of different types of food. Please do continue these conversations at home about the importance of a balanced diet.
