3Beech Learning Update

Central idea: Our lifestyle is influenced by our choices.

We have had another brilliant week, finishing off our final line of inquiry. The children have really enjoyed thinking of a particular goal they have for the future and we focused on the small steps and choices we must make to achieve this. We then looked into what the word 'impact' means and how the choices we will make impact our future. The children also revisited an activity we completed in term 1 giving 8 individuals health advice and they looked at the impact this advice could have had.

The children have loved science this term and we ended this module focusing on how the skeletal system and muscular system work together in order for us to move. They loved creating models of our hands and were then able to apply their knowledge and SPAG skills to write an explanation text on 'How the body moves?' We also completed a carousel of activities for the children to demonstrate their understanding of all the science content this term, and every single one of them could confidently articulate their understanding!

In maths we continued focusing on addition with exchanges and we finished our key text in guided reading with a particular focus on our summarising skills.

I wish you all a lovely and restful half term, and I look forward to seeing you all back for module 2! :)
