Juniper Learning Update

Central idea: An inquiry into how our likes make us unique.

So far this module, the early years children have discussed many shared and unique interests with their friends and teachers through our inquiry-based learning. Miss Williams and I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know each and every child on a personal level and gained an understanding of all the things they love to do! Not only has this helped form wonderful relationships with the children, it has also helped us to guide their play into meaningful learning that they enjoy. We have moved into line of inquiry three: an inquiry into how we communicate our liles with other to change their opinions and views. Hearing all of the lovely things the children have communicated about their family members' talents has encouraged us to create a 'family talent tree'. We will display the family talent tree in the classroom with the children's drawings of their family members' talents. What a beautiful reminder for the children of the unique nature of people, and how they can take their interests in any direction they wish to.

The children were pleased with the beautiful sunshine on Tuesday afternoon - perfect for PE on the field with Team Oak too. Together, both Oak and Juniper class worked in their house teams to encourage each other across the obstacles, showing incredible sportsmanship.

Reminders: Please ensure that children have their reading books in school ready to be changed every Monday and Thursday. Thank you.

I look forward to seeing some children at the school disco today. It will be a blast!

Have a wonderful weekend!
