3/4Cedar Learning Update

Central idea: Balance in our lives can produces health, well-being and contentment.

This week in PYP we brought together all the information that we have been learning about health and fitness to complete a report for our clients (adults from around the school). We have completed a outline of a balanced diet for each day of the week and included information about the food groups in each mean and what benefits that have for the human body.

In maths we have been looking at adding and subtracting 1's, 10's and 100's to a number. We have also been looking at adding two 4-digit numbers with no exchange needed, an exchange from the ones to the tens, an exchanged from the tens to the hundred and an exchange from the hundreds to the thousands.

In reading we have being following Maia on her journey as she gets to know the Carters better and begins to explore her new surroundings with the help of a local map. We learn more about the local tribes as she begins to talk to the families that live in the mud huts that surround the Carters house.
